Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
Anyone interested in learning about alternative cooking methods is invited to attend a Solar Cook-Off on Saturday, August 2, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 615 Hollow Way in Nevada City. If you already have a solar oven, bring it and ingredients for a favorite dish to share. If you don’t already have an oven, come to the cook-off and learn how to make your own solar cooker. Cooking begins at 10 a.m. and the potluck starts at 4 p.m. Come join the fun and be prepared to cook efficiently and inexpensively on your next camping trip or power outage. Mountain Stream Meditation Center

Unity in the Gold Country

The meeting is followed by greeting and fellowship.
Sundays: Stop by any Sunday at 10 a.m. to visit our weekly worship service centered on a sermon directly from the Bible and Science and Health. A Sunday School is held at the same time where students up to the age of 20 learn all about the Bible and how to apply its timeless spiritual lessons in their lives (childcare is provided).

The Healing Rooms of Nevada County
We pray for healing of body and spirit. Everyone is welcome whether they attend church or not. Pray Nevada County
We seek God on behalf of our communities. Open to all for prayer, Pray Nevada County meets each Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. to pray for our county governments and services, schools and families, businesses and media, and churches and parachurch ministries. Since August 1997, 15 to 25 people from eight to 12 congregations have met each week to pray for our communities.
