Grass Valley United Methodist Church

There will be some special things going on this month at Grass Valley United Methodist Church and we hope you’ll join us. Our Children’s Christmas Drama, based on “The First Noel and the Friendly Beasts,” and assisted by Healing Harps will be during the second service on December 11. At the 10:30 a.m. service on December 18 we’ll enjoy special music by the Wesley Ringers Handbell Choir. And our Christmas Eve Service will be held at 5: p.m. Unless there are last minute changes, we expect to follow our usual schedule otherwise. On Sundays we have a time for silent prayer in the sanctuary at 8 a.m. followed by a contemplative worship service at 8:45 a.m.. The traditional worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. and both services are followed by a time for fellowship when we can get to know you.

Child care is available from 8:30 a.m. until noon and Sunday School for children begins at 10:25 a.m. Bible study classes for adults are usually at 9 a.m. on Sundays, and on Tuesday mornings at 9:30. First Church of Christ, Scientist / Reading Room and Bookstore

Sundays: Stop by any Sunday at 10 a.m to visit our weekly worship service centered on a sermon directly from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. A Sunday School is held at the same time where students up to the age of 20 learn all about the Bible and how to apply its timeless spiritual lessons in their lives (childcare is provided). North San Juan Community Church

We are a non-denominational church of self proclaimed “Pedestrians” — “Jesus did the talkin’ and we’ll do the walkin,” says Associate Pastor Lane Baldwin, with a fire in his heart. Here are examples of programs we have provided in one year:

– “Souper Sunday” allows anyone to come in after church, at noon, have a bottomless bowl of soup and a family movie at 1 p.m.
