Our group met on January 8 at Perko’s restaurant for lunch. Our members enjoyed a tasty lunch and held a monthly meeting. Our next lunch and meeting will be held on February 12 at the Black Bear Diner in Auburn. Lunch will start at noon.

Las Vegas and Death Valley, Feb. 23 to March 1: Lunch at Hilmar Cheese Factory, one night at Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Bakersfield, including breakfast on the way to Las Vegas.
Two nights at Treasure Island in Las Vegas including one dinner buffet.
Take a Night Light Tour on Fremont Street in Las Vegas.

Located 45 minutes east of Fresno, Wonder Valley seems like worlds away, nestled in the foothills near the entrance to Kings Canyon National Park.

We’ll be doing two off-site excursions as well. the Haight Ashbury area, learn about its hippie history and even have a little time to peruse some nifty shops. Finish the day with a visit to Flora Grugg Garden, a unique nursery with rare and exceptionally durable plants, books and garden furnishings.

Nevada County Travel Club
Sixty-one members of the Nevada County Travel Club cruised from San Francisco to Alaska in June, cruising the Inside Passage and Glacier Bay and visiting the ports of Haines, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria, B.C.
Day tours and longer land tours and cruises are available to residents of Nevada County, friends and family.

The GraNeva A’s
The GraNeva A’s installed new officers at their annual Christmas dinner. New officers include, from left, Steve Turnsk, president; Bob Ambrose, vice-president; Jan Elliott, secretary; Sharon Pierce, editor; Kay Harms and Vicki Straw, membership. Tour directors are Buzz Elliott and Vern Harms. The GraNeva A’s is a social club of Model A Ford aficionados and other vintage automobiles.
