Golden Empire Sam’s RV Group

The club camp-out of November 10 to 14 was hosted by Len and Pat Fuson at the Feather Falls Casino KOA in Oroville. The event included games and potluck dinners. A brief business meeting was held on Wednesday with a local dinner outing afterwards.

We meet Monday to Thursday on the second week of the month with luncheons held in December, January and February. We are a friendly group and welcome new members.

Happy Trails Travelers

Dec. 4 and 5: Beach Blanket Babylon Holiday Show

Tour includes motor coach transportation round trip Grass Valley to San Francisco plus driver gratuity, overnight accommodations at the Radisson Fisherman’s Wharf plus breakfast on day two, Show ticket, lunch at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. on Pier 39, Free time on day two for shopping at Union Square, viewing of Christmas lights in the city.

Cache Creek Casino : January 3, 2014, five hour stay. Feather Falls Casino in Oroville: February 7, 2014, five hour stay. Cash back and food credit.

Feb. 23 through March 1, 2014: Death Valley and Las Vegas. One night at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Bakersfield including breakfast. Two nights at Treasure Island, Las Vegas including one dinner buffet. Night Light Tour on Fremont Street in Las Vegas. Two nights at the Furnace Creek Resort Inn with daily breakfast, barbecue dinner “Under the Stars” first night. Dinner in Oasis Room second night. One full day of Pink Jeep Trekking including boxed lunch. Tour of Scotty’s Castle in Death Valley. One night at Creekside Inn in Bishop, Includes breakfast. Wonder Valley: March 31 through April 3. Located 45 minutes east of Fresno, Wonder Valley seems like worlds away, nestled in the foothills near the entrance to Kings Canyon National Park.  It’s an all-inclusive guest ranch with many outdoor activities including bicycle riding, horseback riding, boating etc.  We’ll be doing 2 off site excursions as well.  Cost of the trip includes motorcoach transportation, driver gratuity, lodging, all activities and admissions, all meals  except lunch on the way there and back and 2 cocktails of your choice  per day.  This is a fun place to spend time with a fun group of people.

Nevada County Travel Club

Sixty-one members of the Nevada County Travel Club cruised from San Francisco to Alaska in June, cruising the Inside Passage and Glacier Bay and visiting the ports of Haines, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria, B.C. Day tours and longer land tours and cruises are available to residents of Nevada County, friends and family. Phone tour director Brenda Shilling at 530-432-5301 for information.

Rosebowl Parade: Celebrate the new year with us Dec. 29 through Jan. 2, 2014, at the famous Pasadena Rosebowl parade! Tour includes Long Beach Westin Hotel accommodations, some meals, reserved float viewing pre-parade, Bandfest, reserved seats at the parade, visit to The Getty Museum and a Gala New Year’s Eve Celebration, all with a guide to ease us through the traffic and crowds!! Airport shuttles and round-trip air Sacramento to Long Beach will be arranged for you.

Costa Rica: A world of nature including Tortuguero — April 17 through May 8, 2014.

We had an active spring and summer of tours! In April, we went to the Folsom Powerhouse, had a “ladies learn to drive day” and a tour of Eventful Acres and its tractor collection.
