Combie Bible Church

This Sunday night, April 14, Combie Bible Church will be hosting two nationally known speakers as part of Shasta Bible College & Graduate School’s 10th Annual Alpha/Omega Conference On Creation And End-Time Prophecy. At 6 p.m., Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson, a graduate of Harvard Medical School in 2009, will be speaking on the subject of the biblical origin of species. Dr. Johnson’s current research at the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) in Dallas, Texas, involves the investigation of molecular mechanisms of biological change from a young-earth perspective. At 7:15 p.m., Dr. John Morris, President of ICR, will be speaking on the subject of the age of the earth. Dr. Morris is widely known for leading expeditions to Mt. Ararat in search of Noah’s Ark. He has authored a number of books and articles on the scientific evidence that supports the Bible. There is no charge for the evening, but a love offering will be taken.

Mountain Stream Meditation Center

Hope Bearers

We are a Christian cancer support group that meets at Foothill Church. Those with serious chronic illnesses, including cancer, and their care givers are encouraged to come and share in a safe environment concerning this difficult time. Holy Wisdom, Nevada City

The Palestine-Israel Working Group of Nevada County (PIWG)

Unitarian Universalist Community of the Mountains

Christian Science Church

John Q. Adams of New York City will give a one hour talk at 2 p.m. on April 28 entitled, “If God is All Where is He at This Moment?” It will take place at the Holiday Inn Express. All are welcome. Admission is free and child care will be provided at the hotel.

On April 7, “Unreality” will be the topic of the Bible Lesson Sermon. Church services and Sunday School meet at the same time at 10 a.m.

Grass Valley AM AGLOW

We are a local chapter of Aglow International and meet the second Tuesday of every month from 9:45 a.m. to noon at 336 Crown Point Circle, Grass Valley.
