Twin Cities Church

Join us as we continue our series, “The Good Life.”  The message this week is “Enduring With Patient Perseverance.” We meet Sundays at 8, 9:35, and 11:15 a.m. Our Children’s Ministry (birth through fifth grade) has fantastic children’s programming at each of our services. High school students meet Sundays at our 9:35 a.m. service, and Junior High School students meet at our 11:15 a.m. service.  Beginning Sunday, June 15, the summer service times will be 9 and 10:45 a.m. High school students will begin meeting at 9 a.m. and junior high students will meet at 10:45. a.m.

Mountain Stream Meditation Center

Our Buddhist Insight Meditation group meets every Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Mountain Stream Meditation Center, 710 Zion St., Nevada City. On June 7, Mountain Stream teacher Heather Sundberg will lead a silent meditation followed by a talk.  Please carpool.

Our group also meets at the Center for meditation and discussion on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month from 7:30 to 9 p.m. On June 11, Heather Sundberg will guide the meditation and give a talk.

Holy Wisdom Orthodox Church

Many Christians both women and men yearn for a more costly, demanding, life-changing discipleship. Orthodoxy meets that challenge. It is serious. It is difficult. It is demanding. It is about mercy, but it is also about overcoming oneself. It is not simply feel-good Christianity.

Unity in the Gold Country

Join us this Sunday when Licensed Unity Teacher,  Patricia Haller, shares her talk, “The Power Of The Spoken Word.” Music by Steve Wallace.   We are located at 180 Cambridge Ct., Grass Valley, off Whispering Pines Lane, across from Peaceful Valley Farm Supply. “The Way of Mastery” is held each Monday at 7 p.m.   The Men’s and Women’s Groups meet each Tuesday at 10 a.m.  “A Course in Miracles” every Thursday at 7 p.m.   Our Children’s Ministry program is held each Sunday at 10:30 a.m.  A study of the book “I Am The Word” is every  Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Center.  Our Children’s Summer Camp, “Around The World In Three Days,” will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on June 18, 19, and 20.

First Baptist Church, Grass Valley

Our reputation is an important factor in our lives, but what do we do when that is called into question.  Join us this week as Pastor Mark shares how Paul responded when his reputation was on trial in a message entitled “When Your Reputation is on Trial.”

Traditional service at 9 a.m. features a mix of praise songs and hymns. Sunday School for adults, youth, children and preschoolers is provided. Sierra Center for Spiritual Living

 Come celebrate with us and Rev. Unitarian Universalist Community of the Mountains

Christian Science Church/Reading Room and Bookstore

Tuesdays: Stop by to visit our weekly live audio chats, including Q&A, with a professional healer on current topics. “Doing the works of Jesus and greater works,” is the topic for this coming Tuesday. Wednesdays: Join our open Wednesday Meetings for sharing about healing from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. After hearing verses from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy on a theme, participants are invited to share personal examples of Christian healing and gratitude for God’s care. The meeting is followed by greeting and fellowship.

Sundays: Stop by any Sunday at 10 a.m. to visit our weekly worship service centered on a sermon directly from the Bible and Science and Health. A Sunday School is held at the same time where students up to the age of 20 learn all about the Bible and how to apply its timeless spiritual lessons in their lives (childcare is provided).

Grass Valley United Methodist Church

Our Contemplative service begins at 8:45 a.m. followed by our traditional Service at 10:30 a.m. Coffee fellowship follows each service. Sunday School is held during the 8:45 service for ages 3 to 12 with chimes and drama 9:45 to 10:30. Child care for all ages 8:30 until noon. There is a Sunday bible study during our for service. All are welcome.

The Healing Rooms of Nevada County

We pray for healing of body and spirit. Everyone is welcome whether they attend church or not.

Come to the Main Lobby of the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, 155 Glasson Way, Grass Valley on the first and third Thursdays of each month, 7 to 8:30 p.m. There is no fee and no appointment is necessary. Pray Nevada County

We seek God on behalf of our communities. Open to all for prayer, Pray Nevada County meets each Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. to pray for our county governments and services, schools and families, businesses and media, and churches and parachurch ministries. Since August 1997, 15 to 25 people from eight to 12 congregations have met each week to pray for our communities.
