Construction of $7.9 million NID water tanks progresses in Nevada City

The construction of two new treated water storage tanks is under way on Banner Mountain near Nevada City. The Nevada Irrigation District is building 4.6-million-gallon and 5.9-million-gallon storage tanks to replace two old in-ground covered reservoirs at the site. The overall $7.9 million project began in July 2012 and is slated for completion in June 2014. NID ConstructionIinspector Tony Moscini looks on as crews from Gateway Pacific Contractors Inc. of Sacramento work on the second tank.
