Police blotter: Large tortoise in middle of road

Friday

8:35 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Serpentine Farm Lane reported the theft of goats.

8:45 a.m. — A caller requested a welfare check on a woman in the 13000 block of Hidden Valley Road whose boyfriend had been threatening her; he was arrested on suspicion of violating probation.

9:04 a.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and La Barr Meadows Road reported two motorcycles passing on the double yellow line.

11:35 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Gray Lane reported a person taking property.

11:51 a.m. — A woman from the 13000 block of Park View Drive reported a man was stalking her.

2:17 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Tulane Drive reported possible identity theft.

2:21 p.m. — A caller from Highway 20 and Penn Valley Drive reported a goat had been hit by a vehicle and was dead.

2:41 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Charden Road reported the theft of a child’s backpack.

3:34 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Echo Ridge Drive reported a dog attacked another dog.

3:36 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Lime Kiln Road reported two men in a physical fight, who had left the scene.

3:50 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Lowell Hill Road reported that personal items and solar equipment had been stolen.

4:41 p.m. — A caller from Highway 174 and Osborne Hill Road reported two suspicious buckets filled with possible hazardous materials; environmental health was called.

6:26 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of La Barr Meadows Road reported promiscuous shooting.

6:32 p.m. — A woman reported being lost in the woods near Taylor Crossing at the Bear River; she was transferred to Placer County Sheriff’s Office.

8:09 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Lime Kiln Road reported a fight regarding a head-on traffic accident, with one trying to leave the scene.

Saturday

12:08 a.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Ariel Court reported an alarm with people possibly in a residence. Two men were arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

2:54 a.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of River Ranch Road reported loud music; it was quiet when deputies arrived.

3:08 a.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Tara Lane reported a dispute with a woman throwing items in a yard. A woman was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment and resisting arrest. At 8:02 a.m., a dispute between a man and a woman was mediated.

5:30 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Tammy Way reported a person had knocked on the door.

8:50 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Torrey Pines Drive reported finding a deer that might have been poached; it was found that it might have died after it jumped over a fence.

9:18 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Gracie Road reported credit card fraud.

11:10 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Owl Creek Road reported dog chasing goats.

11:18 a.m. — A man from the 29000 block of Highway 49 reported being assaulted by a man; he did not want charges.

11:25 a.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Tyler Foote Crossing Road reported a man assaulted her and another victim.

3:18 p.m. — A caller from the 20000 block of Silver Leaf Drive reported a neighbor trespassing with an ATV.

5:17 p.m. — A caller from Dog Bar Road and Carrie Drive reported finding a large tortoise in the middle of the road.

6:01 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Lower Colfax Road reported an attempted burglary with a broken door.

6:38 p.m. — A woman from the 22000 block of Pleasant Valley Road reported two dogs chased her animals; they were seized by Animal Control.

8:24 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Indian Springs Road reported a person tried to open a gate, said he was a bill collector and seemed under the influence of drugs.

8:25 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Goldcone Drive reported two people trespassing on ATVs. The situation was mediated.

Sunday

1:18 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Oak Hollow Circle reported a physical fight. It was a large family dispute and no charges were desired.

1:20 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Combie Road reported about 15 juveniles drinking alcohol.

2:33 a.m. — A disturbance was reported on Broad Street; nothing was located.
