Bear in garage, cussing kids in Police Blotter


Grass Valley Police Department

Friday

8:12 a.m. — A caller on the 400 block of Brighton Street reported a theft.

12:44 p.m. — A caller at a business that sells recreational vehicles on the 1300 block of East Main Street reported a theft of power cords.

2:20 p.m. — A caller at a pet store on the 600 block of Sutton Way reported a theft of car keys.

2:30 p.m. — A caller on 1700 block of East Main Street reported advising a transient, who had been sleeping on the property for a couple of nights, to leave.

3:40 p.m. — A caller at a park on the 400 block of Central Avenue reported an attempted theft of a cell phone but did not wish to press charges.

7:04 p.m. — A caller on the 600 block of South Auburn Street reported a woman setting up a transient camp who had tapped into a motel’s power.

10:23 p.m. — A caller on the 100 block of Cypress Hill Road reported juveniles throwing eggs at residences.

9:45 a.m. — A caller on the15300 block of Highway 174 reported a horse caught up in wire at a place with numerous pervious reports of malnourished or neglected horses.

11:58 a.m. — A caller near a school on the 12300 block of McCourtney Road reported vandalism.

12:28 p.m — A caller on Magnolia Road near Cottage Hill School reported a disoriented skunk meandering about. Several other callers also reported the skunk

2:57 p.m. — A caller on the 12700 block of Banner Lava Cap Road reported a truck broken into, with gas stolen and the engined damaged.

3:10 p.m. — A caller on 19800 block of Mountain Lion Road reported five missing goats.

5:47 p.m. — A caller on the 18200 block of Honeydew Lane reported the theft of equipment.

9:34 p.m. — A caller on the 19600 block of McCourtney Road reported that their landlord is locking the gate, prohibiting the caller from leaving. The caller said the landlord also entered his residence and she took his heater, telling him he didn’t need it and he had to listen to her, because she’s the landlord.

9:39 p.m. — A caller on the 17700 block of Highway 20 mistook the sound of fireworks and mistook them for gun shots or a car crash.

9:24 a.m. — A caller on the 18000 block of Greenhorn Road reported a theft of prescription medications.

1:16 p.m. — A caller on 20700 block of Buckboard Road reported a cluster of mailboxes that were broken into.

7:14 p.m. — A caller on the 12800 block of Mystic Mine Road reported the theft of a motorcycle by a disgruntled ex-tenant.

Sunday

2:30 a.m. — A caller near the intersection of Carriage Road and Highway 49 reported the theft of mail from a mail box.

2:58 a.m. — A caller at the emergency room reported a person came in with multiple stab wounds.

11:36 a.m. — A caller on the 13500 block of Mystic Mine Road reported the theft of a wallet from an unlocked vehicle.

12:47 a.m. — A caller on the 500 block of Nimrod Street reported a bear in their garage.

2:46 p.m. — A caller at a furniture store on the 100 block of South Auburn Street reported the theft of a window.

3:31 p.m. — A caller on Alexander Street reported three or four juveniles cussing and wants them to move on.
