Police blotter: Mail thief, sneezing mystery

9:20 a.m. — A woman from the 500 block of Penstock Drive reported finding her fence open this morning. Nothing appeared to be missing.

9:55 a.m. — A man from the 500 block of Temby Street reported the theft of a bicycle from his backyard.

1:19 p.m. — A woman from the 700 block of West Main Street reported a boy dropped his backpack and it appeared to contain a large amount of other people’s mail.

1:34 p.m. — A woman from the 400 block of Brunswick Road reported identity theft.

2:32 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Sutton ay reported a man looking into and possibly trying to make entry into vehicles. He could not be located.

3:11 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported an attempted burglary of his vehicle.

3:29 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of South Auburn Street reported a necklace lodged in a 4-year-old’s throat.

4:44 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of East Main Street reported two men beating up a third man. A man reported the theft of money. That same man was later reported at a residence in the 15000 block of Orchard Springs Road by a caller at 8:23 p.m. The man reportedly was under the influence and had locked himself in a bathroom. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, being under the influence of a controlled substance and petty theft. He was being held in lieu of $12,750 bail.

5:44 p.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Lloyd Street reported a man throws things at her, and was throwing items in the residence.

9:24 a.m. — A caller from McCourtney Road reported a boy throwing items in a classroom. He then was roaming the campus and broke a bench, and was using a 2 by 4 as a weapon. He was arrested on unknown charges.

9:43 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of McCourtney Road reported vandalism.

10:34 a.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Walnut Court reported a man hit her in the face.

11:04 a.m. — A man from Arrowhead Mine Road reported three people entered his residence with guns, then left. The report was unfounded.

12:53 p.m. — A caller from the 27000 block of Table Meadow Road reported a house under construction possibly being burglarized and people possibly stealing lumber.

4:15 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of La Barr Meadows Road reported a burglary to a business last night.

4:54 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Aurora Close reported vandalism by a neighbor.

5:02 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Shady Creek Drive reported the theft of an engine lift.

7:06 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Christian Life Way reported a wrong-way driver.

9:55 p.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of Sugar Pine Court reported hearing someone sneeze outside, as well as a dog barking. No one was located.

10:22 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Wolf Road reported a man was throwing items around the house, then left. No report was desired.


3:06 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Tammy Way reported someone knocked twice; no one was located.
