Police blotter: Drunken man chases his stolen car, hurts self


NEVADA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Friday

9:16 a.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Old Mill Road reported a suspicious vehicle parked in his lot that had possibly been tearing up the parking lot and then broke down and was left there.

3:21 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Carrington Lane reported that she needs to go to jail.

3:34 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Alpine Lane reported that neighbors have been leaving fliers in mailboxes and would like to file charges.

3:48 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Ridge Road reported he was hit with a bottle by a passing car while riding his bicycle.

6:36 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Alta Sierra Drive reported a vehicle swerving at cars to get them to move.

Saturday

12:01 a.m. — A caller from Lower Colfax Road and East Brookview Drive reported that someone took his car, and he was attempting to chase the vehicle and injured his leg and head. He stated he had been drinking heavily and needed medical attention.

7:42 a.m. — A caller from the 20000 block of Big Spring Drive reported a neighbor put cows on the property and locked them in, and they have restraining orders against each other for this.

9:46 a.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of McCourtney Road reported six to eight cows on her property and in the road.

1:26 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Little Valley Road reported she started spraying Roundup on her property, and her neighbor came out and sprayed water on her property.

2:52 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Allison Ranch Road reported a pit bull that just attempted to attack him in front of his house that came onto his property.

3:58 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Woodstock Drive reported her neighbor threatened her over her son’s ball going into his yard.

8:36 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Mooney Flat Road reported requiring assistance with the neighbor’s horse, which got onto their property, and they accidentally let it out of the gate into the roadway. The caller was able to get a dog leash on the horse but could not get it back into the neighbor’s pasture. Sunday

6:42 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Wet Hill Road reported threats that he was going to be assaulted if he didn’t finish doing work on the suspect’s vehicle.

6:59 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of South Auburn Street reported a burglary to a business during the night.

7:21 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of South School Street reported three windows possibly broken into on the roof of the building.

8:39 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Nevada City Highway reported she needs to be picked up for escaping rehab.

9:46 a.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Sutton Way reported an employee that was just assaulted. 11:06 a.m. — A caller from West Main and Mill streets reported a subject from a business smoking a marijuana pipe and harassing passersby again.

12:05 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported transients and vehicles that are blocking the side entrance to store and are refusing to leave.

2:28 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Sutton Way reported a male subject who came into the business, the same person who stole the tip jar three months prior.

5:08 p.m. — A caller from East Main Street reported occupants of a red Honda Civic were throwing items at her vehicle and spitting on her car.

5:14 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a juvenile attempting to push a cart containing alcohol out the doors.

7:03 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Bernice Drive reported a man who laid wood across the driveway and poured gasoline on it. He did not light it on fire, but the caller’s friend had to move it to go home.

7:15 p.m. — A caller from Neal and Mill streets reported a group of six to 10 juveniles in the street running into traffic and riding scooters in the roadway.

9:26 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a theft of two 12-packs of Pacifico beer and a bag of limes.

Saturday

12:07 a.m. — A caller from Sutton Way reported an abandoned dark colored bicycle in front of the Quail Ridge sign. 7:18 a.m. — A caller from the 600 block of East Main Street reported a male hunched over in the parking lot who appeared to have urinated on himself.

4:30 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Brunswick Road reported a sleeping transient.

9:29 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a disturbance of peace where his ex-girlfriend threw his keys on the roof.

4:13 p.m. — A caller from highways 49 and 20 and Idaho Maryland Road reported a vehicle speeding and swerving.

7:47 p.m. — A caller from Depot and Bennett streets reported six to eight juveniles walking up Bennett Street, screaming and yelling and possibly arguing.

8:06 p.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported theft of a purse at 4:30 p.m. inside the store.

8:27 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of West Main Street reported a subject climbed into a second story window.

8:51 p.m. — A caller from South Auburn and Race streets reported three subjects dressed in white, one subject dressed in black with a glowing skeleton mask jumped out into traffic.

9:44 p.m. — A caller from Juan Way reported an unknown subject tried to open the knob on her back door about 20-30 minutes prior.

10:01 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Pleasant Street reported numerous people coming and going at all hours with suspicion that illegal narcotics are being sold out of the location.

11:11 p.m. — A caller from Memorial Park reported a possible fire near the parking lot of the pool.

Saturday

2:11 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Coyote Street reported a male screaming and acting agitated, yelling about air and water quality.

2:07 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Searls Avenue reported five skateboarders on the school property near the Searls Avenue entrance.

Sunday

4:36 a.m. — A caller from Nevada City Highway and Gates Place reported hearing yelling and moaning.

8:28 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Walrath Avenue reported a transient male walking around the neighborhood that has been on their property several times.
