A driver eluded law enforcement during a vehicle pursuit and a search by a helicopter off Highway 174 Saturday night. California Highway Patrol Officer Greg Tassone saw the white Toyota 4Runner while on patrol near Brunswick and Greenhorn roads at about 10:50 p.m., said CHP Officer Dina Hernandez. The SUV was raised and had no mud flaps, which is illegal because the tires can kick up debris, Hernandez said.
