Facelift for Nevada City’s Creekside Inn

The quaint charm of the Creekside Inn was recently updated with new contemporary improvements.

“It has a nice new facelift,” said Erin Thiem, owner of both the Outside Inn and Creekside Inn in Nevada City.

“We just redid one of the rooms,” Thiem said.

The room was previously bedecked in pink wallpaper with white feathers and gold accents, presenting a cute country vibe, but now has a more contemporary and modern feel with silver accents and deeper color tones.

“It took four days and has fun, new paint, decorations, bedspread and rug and some of the furniture is new as well,” Thiem said. “It’s a home redecoration.”

The Creekside Inn location is centered in downtown Nevada City, near the South Pine Street Bridge.

“It’s a standalone unit and it’s very, very old and it was at the top of the list for a redecoration,” Thiem said.

The house includes a king-size bed, kitchenette, bathroom and a deck and patio overlooking Deer Creek.

Those who mention Thiem’s blog post at outsideinn.com/blog before May 1 can receive a $10 savings on the room, which can be rented for $145 a night, between Sunday through Thursday. The Outside Inn is located at 575 E. Broad St., Nevada City. To make a reservation, call 530-265-2233.
