Sierra roadwork scheduled for the week of Jan. 21: Long-term projects State Highway 49 (Nevada County) Work has resumed on the $29 million Highway 49/La Barr Meadows Project that will widen State Route 49 to four lanes between Little Valley Road and Norambagua Way, just south of Grass Valley. The project includes a signalized intersection at La Barr Meadows Road, widening of shoulders, right-turn pockets and new sound walls. Completion is expected by spring 2013.
