Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

7:32 a.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Old Tunnel Road reported a man sleeping in a hallway, who was asked to leave.

8:23 a.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Bennett Street reported a 9-year-old girl was screaming, kicking and refusing to get dressed to go to school.

8:42 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported the theft of a Social Security check.

10:10 a.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Celesta Drive reported a vehicle was broken into and a wallet, shoes and meds were taken.

10:19 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Bank Street reported someone tried to start a fire at the entrance of a building.

11:48 a.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Crown Point Circle reported a man charging at staff members.

1:42 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Chester Street reported the theft of a mountain bike.

2:13 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported the theft of a registration sticker.

2:26 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported a stolen vehicle; she had forgotten where she parked.

4:01 p.m. — A caller from the 1100 block of East Main Street reported a woman acting bizarre, saying she was mute. She was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer.

4:42 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Horizon Circle reported identity theft.

4:53 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Catherine Lane reported the theft of about $140 in cash.

6:49 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 700 block of Freeman Lane reported the theft of a barbell and weights.

Tuesday

4:53 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Lidster Avenue reported a burglary to a vehicle.

Monday

8:49 a.m. — A caller from Comerate Road reported a juvenile kicking and punching staff member in the face, and kicking doors. The juvenile was arrested on suspicion of battery, resisting arrest and trespassing with intent to cause bodily injury.

9:11 a.m. — A caller from McCourtney Road reported a juvenile who had been locked out of school and kicking doors and banging on doors and walls.

12:46 p.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Birchville Road reported a neighbor tried to hit his vehicle in a dispute over an easement.

1:21 p.m. — Several people were contacting inmates at the jail via sign language; they were given a warning.

2:27 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Mooney Flat Road reported identity theft.

4:37 p.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Biladeau Lane reported the theft of propane tanks.

5:31 p.m. — A caller from the 23000 block of St. Helena Drive reported people shooting pellets at dogs.

6:29 p.m. — A woman from Penn Valley reported a woman stole from her bank account.

8:49 p.m. — A caller from lake Vera-Purdon Road and West Mandolin Way reported a vehicle rollover with no injuries.

10:18 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Pleasant Valley Road reported an unwanted man, who was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

Tuesday

6:45 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Loma Rica Drive reported an Airstream possibly had been broken into.

6:55 a.m. — A man from the 12000 block of Thunder Road reported being threatened by a man who broke his rib several days before.

2:50 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Commercial Street reported a man and a woman in a dispute; a woman was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and violating probation.

2:52 p.m. — A man from the 800 block of Zion Street reported a woman took his vehicle and his debit card.
