The Roamin Angels Car Club will be hosting its annual toy drive event Saturday, rain or shine, regardless of possible poor weather conditions. “We’re doing this to help the community,” said Ron Cherry, Roamin Angels vice president. “We need to make a plea for the community to support this effort in spite of the weather.” Working with the local Salvation Army, the club distributes toys to many children who might not otherwise have a Christmas, Cherry said.
