Compliance check yields more than 100 pounds of pot

Nevada County Sheriff’s deputies conducting a compliance check on a marijuana grow just outside Penn Valley ended up seizing guns, money and more than 100 pounds of processed pot. Members of the enforcement team tasked with enforcing the county’s medical marijuana cultivation ordinance, as well as members of the Narcotics Task Force, went to the residence in the 10000 block of Melody Road on Friday, Sheriff Keith Royal said.
