Truckee man recovering after being shot by WCSO deputy TRUCKEE — A Truckee man’s medical condition has been upgraded to stable after he was shot nine days ago by a Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputy, officials confirmed Monday. Michael Nelson Heil, 27, of Truckee, was shot at about 3:48 p.m. Nov. 10, in the area of the Gold Ranch Casino in Verdi, according to the Reno Police Department.
