United Food and Commercial Workers have reached a tentative agreement with Raley’s supermakets, ending a nine-day strike, according to a press release by union spokeswoman Ellen Anreder. “The strike settlement guarantees when workers return to their jobs, there will be no reprisal for exercising their rights,” Anreder wrote. “They will maintain their positions, seniority and health-care eligibility and all replacements workers will be immediately discharged.” The strike began Nov. 5, after Raley’s corporate and the UFCW Union failed to agree on a contract for Raley’s workers.
