Brian Dahle won the California Assembly District 1 seat going away in a race that featured two conservative Republicans attempting to differentiate themselves. With 92 percent of the precincts reporting district wide, Dahle managed to garner 79,271 votes (64.4 percent) with Rick Bosetti, R-Redding, capturing 43,849 votes. In Nevada County, the margin of victory was even wider for Dahle.
