Deputies help Virginia cops nab alleged pot dealer

A Truckee man was arrested in Virginia on marijuana charges, with the assistance of the Nevada County Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force. Detectives from Prince William County, Va., had been investigating Evan James Polk, 28, for several months, said a local task force spokesman. Polk, originally from Maryland, allegedly had been shipping pot from Nevada County to Virginia and selling it. “He had been selling marijuana to an undercover officer,” the spokesman said. “They contacted us and requested our assistance.” The Virginia detectives allegedly made several cash payments to Polk, at least one of which was handled by a Nevada County …
