Hospitality House homeless shelter reaches full capacity

Even with a nearly $150,000 grant to bolster its efforts to support Nevada County’s homeless population, Hospitality House administrators said they are unable to accommodate the increasing number of people seeking the shelter provider’s services. “We are experiencing some major problems going over capacity this week,” said Cindy Maple, executive director of the homeless service organization. Hospitality House was awarded a $148,000 Emergency Solutions Grant Tuesday from the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD).
