ID of pedestrian killed in Hwy 49 accident released

A 90-year-old man who was killed as he tried to cross Highway 49 Tuesday has been identified as David Marsh, of Grass Valley. Marsh tried to cross the highway on foot at the intersection of La Barr Meadows Road at about 12:36 p.m., said California Highway patrol spokesman Marc Morrison. Marsh was on the east side of the highway and started crossing the road, directly in front of a Camaro being driven by Stella Marie Pattie, 95, of Grass Valley.
