Carol Phillips, a 50-year resident of Grass Valley, passed away the morning of Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. She was 72. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at the Grass Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church, 12889 Osborne Hill Rd., Grass Valley, Calif. Carol was born on Dec. 25, 1939.
