University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Placer and Nevada Farm Advisors Roger Ingram and Cindy Fake have recently been awarded grants to support programs that serve local farmers and ranchers. The grants total $461,585 and were awarded by the USDA Risk Management Agency and the California Department of Food & Agriculture (CDFA). A key part of the UCCE Placer Nevada mission is to provide training to area farmers and ranchers in order to keep local farms and ranches economically viable.
