Fire story night, fireman’s muster highlight anniversary celebration

On Oct. 6 and 13, the public is invited to join the North San Juan Fire Department in celebrating its 150th anniversary. Both events will be at the NSJ Community Fire Hall and admission is free. There will be a Fire Story night starting at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Three writers — well-versed in the practice of living with fire — will share their stories in a lively performance spiced with wine, desserts and discussion.
