week of Oct. 1 LONG-TERM PROJECTS State Highway 49 (Nevada County) — Work has resumed on the $29 million Highway 49/La Barr Meadows Project that will widen State Route 49 to four lanes between Little Valley Road and Norambagua Way, just south of Grass Valley. The project includes a signalized intersection at La Barr Meadows Road, widening of shoulders, right- turn pockets and new sound walls. Completion is expected by fall 2012.
