An Alta Sierra man was arrested Tuesday on drug and weapons charges after the Nevada County Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force served a search warrant on his Clover Valley Road home. Task force members searched the property of William Stephen Downey, 25, in the 15000 block of Clover Valley Road, during an investigation into his alleged marijuana cultivation, said a spokesman. Deputies allegedly located 36 marijuana plants and 5 pounds of marijuana cola, as well as honey oil, the spokesman said. They also allegedly found scales, packaging material and manufacturing equipment and located text messages on his cell phone referencing sales. …
