FBI searching for bank robber

The FBI is asking Northern Californians to be on the lookout for a man who disappeared after robbing a Carmichael bank at approximately 1:30 p.m. on March 25.

The African-American man robbed the Bank of America at 6705 Fair Oaks Blvd., and was in his mid-30s to early 40s.

The suspect had a beard, a gray spot of hair on top of his head and was wearing a torn yellow short over a tank top with dark pants and white tennis shoes.

The robber did not display a weapon, but did threaten the teller before leaving. No getaway vehicle information was available.

Anyone who recognizes the individual in the accompanying picture or has any information about the case is urged to call the FBI in Sacramento at 916-481-9110, the Sacramento Sheriff's Department at 916-874-5115, or the Crime Alert line at 916-443-HELP.

Callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward up to $1,000, the FBI said.
