Waste Management and Nevada County have announced the launch of the area's first two-cart waste and single-stream recycling program for western Nevada County Waste Management customers. This new program will replace the current waste and recycling program consisting of a nonrolling waste cart and recycling curbits.Upon initiation of the program, customers will be provided a black-lidded rolling cart for waste and a 96-gallon blue-lidded rolling cart for single-stream recycling. Waste will continue to be collected weekly, and recycling will be collected bi-weekly.The size of the carts delivered will be specific to each residents' current disposal service.
