See Jane Do, Habitat for Humanity team up

Join us for the second Women Build Together Soiree into Action, with Habitat for Humanity in partnership with Garden Goddesses and Peaceful Valley Farm Supply.

The free event is set for 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, 12359 Loma Rica Dr., Grass Valley.

Build your own small herb box complete with soil and seeds (donated by Peaceful Valley Farm Supply) and herb starts (donated by Garden Goddesses). Or help construct a special planter box for Karrie Misley, a future Habitat for Humanity homeowner.

Plus learn do-it-yourself tips and techniques from special guests: contractor Liz Fugman, Susan Gouveia of Garden Goddesses, Samantha Hinrichs of Mud and Pearls and Monica Hughes, of Naked Tree Woodworking.

These events are "parties with a purpose," engaging women with networking opportunities and fun-filled activities to stimulate action. Drinks and appetizers provided.

To form a Women Build team and finish construction of this home, visit the website at and click on the Women Build banner.
