Mark Meckler, co-founder of the Tea Party Patriots, is now a published author.
His book, "Tea Party Patriots; The Second American Revolution," co-authored by Tea Party Patriots co-founder Jenny Beth Martin, is currently available an the Amazon website and The Book Seller in Grass Valley, among other locations.
The book "is a look at how the country came to this point through the eyes of tea partiers across the nation," according to a post on Across the Fence, Meckler's website. "It also contains a 40-year plan to return the nation to its founding principles. The ideas in the plan come straight from folks I've met in my travels all across the country for the last three years. The book also contains a call to action, asking patriots of all political parties to come together to create a final draft of the plan."
The book description as printed on www.amazon.com, states the book details the origin of the grass roots movement.
"In 2009, an unemployed mother of two and a politically inexperienced northern California attorney met on a conference call that would end up starting one of the largest grassroots political organizations in American history, the Tea Party Patriots," the description reads. "Fueled by the fires of passion and patriotism, Mark Meckler and Jenny Beth Martin have become the faces of the most powerful political movement in the country, empowering their more than twenty million members by using both high-tech advances and the time-tested American tradition of rallying in public."
The book further outlines the fundamental ideological tenets of the Tea Party movement - including constitutionally limited government, fiscal responsibility and free market.
