Higgins Fire knocks down roadside brush fire

A small brush fire south of Highway 49 and Combie was quickly contained Friday afternoon thanks to the fast response of Higgins Fire Protection District.

According to Higgins Fire, a roadside fire burnt a 15-foot by 50-foot strip of brush on the west side of Highway 49, before it was knocked down just before 3 p.m. Friday. The cause of the fire is unknown.
