Police blotter: Late-night talker disturbing roommate's sleep

Tuesday

9:21 a.m. — A man reported the theft of a license plate from his vehicle.

1:56 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Buena Vista Street reported a 2-foot-wide sinkhole in the roadway.

5:11 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 300 block of west Main Street reported a dine and dash. No charges were requested, but the suspect was admonished never to return.

5:30 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Sutton Way reported people stealing light fixtures out of shipping containers.

7:49 p.m. — A caller from Condon Park reported a physical fight earlier in the day and requested extra patrols.

Wednesday

12:22 a.m. — A caller from the hospital reported an assault victim seeking treatment. A BOLO was issued for the suspect.

8:20 a.m. — A woman from the 15000 block of Lake Vera-Purdon Road reported the theft of multiple items from her home.

8:22 a.m. — A man from the 23000 block of Shadow Drive reported someone fraudulently used his daughter’s name on a fake check.

9:24 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Tulane Drive reported a possible stolen vehicle and burglary.

9:27 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Meadow Drive reported a possible phone scam.

10:17 a.m. — A man from the 13000 block of Idaho-Maryland Road reported an attempted residential burglary, with a suspect scared away by dogs.

12:12 p.m. — A caller from Chicago Park Powerhouse reported communication cables and locks had been cut.

3:53 p.m. — A woman from the 15000 block of Little Valley Road reported the theft of a front bumper from a truck.

3:58 p.m. — A caller from Long Court reported possible stalking.

4:25 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Boulder Street reported credit card fraud.

4:54 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Bluff View Road reported a residential burglary and possible vehicle theft.

6:19 p.m. — A caller from Union Hill School reported a very drunken man picked up two children and left in a vehicle. He could not be located.

7:32 p.m. — A caller from the Rood Center reported a physical fight involving four or five people. They were gone when a deputy arrived.

9:13 p.m. — A woman reported elder abuse.

Wednesday

12:07 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Old Wood Road reported a man just opened the caller’s vehicle, then took off on foot. No one was located.

12:53 a.m. — A caller from the 31000 block of Relief Hill Road reported a co-tenant won’t stop talking while the caller was trying to sleep. Both had been drinking and agreed to go to bed.

3:57 a.m. — A caller from the 28000 block of Sweetland Road reported people disassembling a metal building and being too loud. They agreed to keep it down until daylight.

7:08 p.m. — A caller from Broad Street reported being threatened. Another caller reported an argument involving two people.
