This year’s fall show will feature Home & Harvest, with thousands of home & garden ideas to get you ready for the winter! This will not be your typical home show, with pumpkin patches, apple picking, hay mazes and plenty of other fun activities & ideas to get you ready for the season.

With a tradition of success, The Union’s Home & Garden Shows draw more than 10,000 people throughout the weekend from Nevada County and surrounding areas. As a vendor, this is a profitable business venture generating new business from thousands of show goers. As an attendee this is a fun, and unique event that not only showcases thousands of ideas for your home & garden to get you ready for winter, but also features exciting games for the kids, beer, wine, food and entertainment.

So carve your pumpkins and pick your apples and be sure to join us for this exciting weekend of fun, food and hundreds of exhibits that will get you ready for winter!

Important Information

Show Location: Nevada County Fairgrounds, 11228 McCourtney Rd. Grass Valley, CA 94945.

Show Times: The show times are Saturday, October 18 from 10:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 19 from 10:00 a.m. till 4 p.m.

Show Time Parking: As a courtesy to your potential customers at the show, please enter Gate #4 off McCourtney Rd and proceed to the inside parking area (Gate 5/ Vendor Parking) during the show hours. If exhibitor vehicles are found in lot #1 or Lot #3, security will ask that the vehicle be relocated. If the vehicle is not relocated, you will be towed. (This is only after you have unloaded prior to show time.)

Set up Times- Main, Northern Mines Building & Outdoor: Your booth(s) will be clearly marked with your company name & space number. Please keep your booth construction within the boundaries designated by masking tape on the building’s floor. Set-up times will be Thursday, October 16, from 1pm to 5pm., Friday, October 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, October 18, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. All booths MUST be completely finished and exhibitor vehicles moved to gate #5 parking lot by the time the show opens at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday the 18th. Booth spaces are assigned, however subject to change due to conditions.

OUTDOORS (Main Vendor): Outside Exhibitors Tents may be used so long as no stakes are driven into the pavement. Size should be limited to no larger than 20 feet across by 10 feet deep constituting an exhibit space. Not all booths have access to power. If you need power, please indicate on Vendor Application.

Outdoors (Crafter/ Gifts & Novelties): Outside Exhibitors Tents may be used as long as no stakes are driven into the pavement. Sizes should be limited to no longer that 10 feet across and 10 feet deep constituting an exhibit space. If you require more space, you will have to make the coordinator aware and purchase the additional space. No booths have access to power. In you need power, you must indicate on the vendor application and are subject to an additional charge. The deep discount that is offered on Crafters and Gifts & Novelties does come with restrictions. If you require more space or power, you are subject to an additional charge. Gifts & Novelty Vendors and Crafters are not assigned an exact location until the week of the event. We will try our hardest to ensure that all location requests are met, how if you have a request for a specific location outside of the crafters corner, you are subject to an additional charge.

OUTDOORS (Food Vendors): All food booths will be located in the Food Court near Treat Street. If you would like to be located somewhere else on the grounds, please specify on your application and make prior arrangements with coordinator. You must submit a copy of your Nevada County Health Permit and your menu prior to the show in order to qualify as a participating vendor. If there are items on your menu that conflict with other participating vendors, we may request selected menu items are omitted or changed. Please be assured that you will be communicated with and every effort will be made to accommodate your requests.

Security: Security will be provided from Thursday October 16, 2008 from 6:00pm to 7:30am on Friday, October 17, 2008. Security will return again on Friday, October 17 at 9p.m. until 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2008. Security will report back at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18 until 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 19.There will not be any security at the Fairgrounds on the night of Sunday, October 19. You will be responsible for any materials that are left on the grounds. If you need to breakdown on Monday, please contact show coordinator to make arrangements.

Booth Construction: The building will have spaces marked to indicate the area for each exhibitor's booth and number. Exhibitors will need to provide their own table, chairs, backdrop, side dividers & power strip. Each booth will be provided with an 110V electrical outlet. 220V is available by pre-arrangement only. No exhibit or display may be so high along the sides or front as to interfere with the view of show patrons or neighboring exhibits. Please study carefully the diagram below for booth construction guidelines. Backdrops should be kept to a maximum of 8 feet in height up to the first 5 feet from the back wall and a maximum of 4 feet high the first 5 feet from aisle.

Indoor Construction
Nails and screws are not permitted in building walls; no signs may be attached to wall above booth. If you are in violation of booth construction, you will be asked to take down the portion that is not in compliance.

Wall Attachments/ Exhibits & Signs
PLEASE-NO NAILS, SCREWS, OR TAPE PERMITTED ON ANY BUILDING WALLS. No signs may be attached to walls around booths. NO CANOPIES ALLOWED INSIDE THE BUILDINGS!
You may only exhibit or display the product or service listed on your exhibitor agreement. Unless specifically approved in advance, all signs, literature, etc., are limited to exhibit booth space. The fairgrounds will charge for any damage done to the grounds and you will be billed accordingly if exhibits do not comply to regulations.

Teardown Time: Teardown will be Sunday, October 18 from 4:00 p.m. until 7 p.m. PLEASE DO NOT start to tear down before 4:00 p.m. (If pedestrian traffic slows to a point where there is no need for the show to continue, the show director will notify you).

Trash Removal: Exhibitors are responsible for hauling away their own trash. Do not leave trash in your booth area after breakdown on Sunday. The Waste Management of Grass Valley disposal bins outside each exhibit building are not for use by show exhibitors. They are provided for the convenience and use of our general public show attendees. Please haul your cardboard and trash out! If trash or displays are left behind, The Union will dispose of them and charge you a $150.00 clean-up fee. TAKE YOUR GARBAGE WITH YOU!

Refunds
Show will go on rain or shine, no refunds are given for weather conditions. No refunds will be given after August 1, 2008. No refunds will be given if contracted space is not used or used only part of the show time.
