From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday the Artists’ Studio in the Foothills will host its Spring 2013 Open House, featuring open studios and resident artist demonstrations and presentations throughout the day. This event highlights the center’s programs and offers a sampling of upcoming classes, workshops, art camps and mentoring opportunities for students of all ages. Saturday is a family friendly event, so bring the kids and roll up your sleeves for a day full of fun interactive art activities!

ASiF is a 4,000-square-foot studio arts facility housing a beautiful fine art gallery and the creative homes of more than 25 visual artists. In addition to the private studio spaces are three larger shared studio/classroom spaces with a variety of specialized equipment.
ASiF is Nevada County’s one and only visual arts center and has become known for its well attended art events celebrated throughout the year by several hundred guests. ASiF owner/director Amanda Paoletti’s promotional work and art event productions have become sought after by other local downtown venues such as Grass Valley Wine Company, and Nevada City’s Clavey Winery, for which she is now producing events for the promotion of local artists shows, artisan games and other products, jewelry trunk shows and poetry and original songwriters.
