Police blotter: Panhandling Lurch, fake tattoo

Friday

10:54 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of South Auburn Street reported the theft of a motorized scooter.

10:58 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Catherine Lane reported several gunshots; nothing was located.

11:31 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a theft from a vehicle.

12:17 p.m. — A woman from Highway 49 and Dorsey Drive reported a person threw a rock off the overpass and broke her windshield.

1:47 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a man in a business with a large knife on his hip. No crime was found to have occurred.

5:09 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a man with a holstered knife on his hip, holding a squeegee, was yelling at customers. He could not be located.

5:26 p.m. — A caller from South Auburn Street reported juveniles drinking on a school campus who left an empty bottle of alcohol behind; One girl was extremely drunk. They could not be located.

7:34 p.m. — A caller from South Church and Chapel streets reported five or six juveniles possibly hitting a truck with a crowbar. No one was located.

8:53 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Colfax East reported a physical fight between two men and a woman, with sticks involved. One person was arrested on an outstanding warrant, and a second person was arrested on unknown charges.

11:02 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Butler Street reported a vehicle theft; it was a civil issue.

Saturday

11:10 a.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Celesta Drive reported her brother assaulted her; she did not want charges.

5:50 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of South Auburn Street reported two boys, one on foot and one on a bike; the one on foot was waving a knife at the other boy and they were yelling at each other. They appeared to be friends.

7:17 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a man came in, took food and left. He had taken samples of yogurt without paying and was advised not to return.

10:02 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Freeman Lane reported eight washing coin boxes had been broken into.

12:07 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Colfax Avenue reported juveniles hitting cars and spitting on them. A juveniles was arrested on suspicion of violating probation.

Monday

6:34 a.m. — A man from the 1400 block of East Main Street reported a theft occurred two hours ago. He said he located the suspect, and the suspect and a friend punched his truck and assaulted him.

8:59 a.m. — A man from Dorsey Drive and Catherine Lane reported he was being chased by a person with two baseball bats.

1:06 p.m. — A woman from the 1400 block of East Main Street reported her purse had been stolen on March 29.

1:12 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Broadview Avenue reported a possible residential burglary.

1:13 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported a woman yelling and throwing things, who then left.

3:43 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Brunswick Road reported a panhandler dressed in camo who looks like Lurch from the TV show.

4:08 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported juveniles refusing to leave, one of whom spit on the caller. They could not be located.

5:11 p.m. — A caller reported a market selling tobacco to minors.

5:19 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a man stole a wallet and checkbook from the back room of a business.

5:30 p.m. — A woman from the 200 block of North School Street reported a fight with her son over him taking her phone and cord; he returned her property.

6:17 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Jenkins Street reported a boy punched holes in a room and door.

6:39 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Freeman Lane reported three people doing heroin in a vehicle.

6:46 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Broadview Avenue reported a physical fight with two people getting locked out of a residence.

11:16 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Park Avenue reported a man beating a woman up.

9:03 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Oak Drive reported the possible neglect of a horse and donkey.

9:45 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Personeni Lane reported credit card fraud.

11:47 a.m. — A woman from Orchard Springs Road and Quail Ridge Court reported a neighbor’s dog attacked her.

12:07 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Wildwood Heights Drive reported a gate had been vandalized.

12:32 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Bobcat Court reported a loose dog had bitten someone.

1:55 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Gautier Drive reported check fraud.

2:40 p.m. — A caller from New Mohawk Road reported that a juvenile runaway had been at a party last night, was given a roofie and had a rabbit’s foot tattooed on his genitalia. He said he was at a residence in Gras Valley, was given a soda and woke up to find a “tattoo” on his thigh “near his personal parts.” The tattoo was fading.

2:48 p.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Quiet Way reported a fraud.

5:12 p.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Rustic Road reported a person attacked her and left; the person also stole her cell phone. The person then returned and tried to break the door and window to gain entry before driving away again.

8:04 p.m. — A woman from the 17000 block of Lower Colfax Road reported her brother was followed home by a person who was pounding on windows to get him to fight. A juvenile reported he was hit by a truck while riding his bike. He said he was hit twice and the person missed a third time. He said he was then followed home and the man said he would be back with help.

9:37 p.m. — A call from the 13000 block of Anvil Road was abandoned; a 14-year-old girl who was upset over not getting the last piece of pizza had dialed 911 as a joke.

11:23 p.m. — A woman from the 12000 block of Thunder Road reported a neighbor set off his vehicle alarm in her driveway because her dog was barking and it was disturbing him.

2:04 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported eight people trapped in an elevator.

Monday

10:05 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Commercial Street reported loud music; it was a transient playing amplified music. It was turned off.

Tuesday

2:54 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported a man harassing a clerk; he could not be located.
