Peaceful Valley donates seeds

Peaceful Valley Farm & Garden Supply (online at GrowOrganic.com) is ready to send 400 seed boxes to school gardens all over the country. Each free seed box has more than 150 packs of certified organic, non-GMO vegetable and herb seeds.

To receive a box, a school representative or the coordinator of a multi-family home school program, can apply at http://GrowOrganic.com/school-garden. First come, first served!

For every 10 seed packs that Peaceful Valley sells, the company donates one seed pack to school gardens.

School gardens are a unique experience for many children. Amber Tippett, garden coordinator at the Beach Cities Health District wrote to us saying, “Thank you, Peaceful Valley, for your support in educating future generations about the goodness and healthfulness of growing their own organic food. Because of your generosity, over 4,000 elementary school children in Southern California are able to plant seeds and watch their gardens grow year after year. Most of the children in my urban area had never even touched a seed before, let alone tended their garden, harvested their crops, and tasted their own produce!”

Kids can immediately sow fast-appearing radishes, peas, lettuces and kale directly in the school garden soil (unless the ground is frozen).

Classrooms can start germinating seeds now for tomato, pepper and eggplant seedlings to plant out after the last frost.

All the vegetable and herb seeds are organic. Peaceful Valley signs the Safe Seed Pledge every year, promising that all of its seeds are non-GMO.

Peaceful Valley Farm & Garden Supply’s motto is Grow Organic … For Life! Peaceful Valley supports schools by providing free seeds for children to plant and grow a beautiful school garden learning center.

The company produces weekly videos on organic gardening, and five of these videos are embedded on the School Garden page.

Established in 1976, Peaceful Valley Farm & Garden Supply (online at GrowOrganic.com) is the original source for everything gardeners and farmers need to grow organically, providing organic seeds, fertilizers, pest control and tools with one-stop online shopping.
