Local artist's work to be featured at Friday concert

Local resident E.J. Gold’s JazzArt® will be onstage Friday with Wynton Marsalis’ worl-class jazz orchestra, presented by the Center for the Arts.

Gold’s JazzArt® has appeared on stage with some of the greatest jazz musicians, including Herbie Hancock, Ravi Coltrane, Oscar Peterson, Marian McPartland, Nancy Wilson, Chick Corea, Toots Thielemans, Nnena Freelon, and many more. JazzArt® has graced the stages of the International Association of Jazz Education’s annual conferences in Toronto and New York, with their NEA awards ceremony; the opening of San Francisco’s Jazz Heritage Center; and concerts at the Mondavi Center’s Vanderhoef Studio Jazz Series, the Hollywood Bowl, the Jazz Bakery in L.A.; and a unique gallery JazzArt® show at Sacramento’s Capital Public Radio.
