Tahoe Rim association announces summer hiking program

Submitted to The Union

Those who resolved to make 2014 the year that to conquer the 165-mile Tahoe Rim Trail have resources to help. Whether you hike the trail all in one go, or take on a different segment each week, the Tahoe Rim Trail Association can help people make it happen. This year, the TRTA is partnering with Shuttle Around Tahoe to bring you the brand new "Segment Shuttle Program." Participants will follow the official TRTA Segment Hike Schedule and be transported to trailheads around the lake to hike a different segment on their own each week. Whether you choose to hike solo or with a friend, hikers won't have to deal with the hassle of coordinating a ride to the trailhead. And they will get to go at their own pace.

Visit the TRTA's new website at http://www.tahoerimtrail.org for more information about their hiking programs or call 775-298-4485.
