Chocolate celebration supports alumni
February 13, 2013
The Clear Creek School Alumni Scholarship Committee and Elaine Cope, Nevada Union High School senior, will host its third Annual Clear Creek Chocolate Celebration from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the school.
Join the community in tasting chocolate from local shops, caterers, and chocolate makers. This year organizers say they are proud to host Blue Cow Deli, BriarPatch Co-op, Emily’s Catering and Cakes, Flour Garden, Foothill Mercantile, Icing on the Cupcake, Lazy Dog Chocolateria, Sierra Sweets, Summer Thyme’s, and much more.
Bring your friends and enjoy an abundance of beautiful treats. Organizers will even pack a to-go plate, so participants can bring some home to share. Admission to the event costs $8 per person and includes four tasting tickets and one drink ticket. Additional tickets may be purchased for $1 each.
All proceeds go to the Clear Creek Scholarship Fund, which provides monetary support for Clear Creek Elementary School graduates as they move on from high school and continue forward to their college career.
Clear Creek School recently celebrated its 145 year. Since 1867 the school has grown from a one-room schoolhouse with 20 students to a thriving school of 170 students, kindergarten through eighth-grade.
Because this fundraiser is intended for adults, only students seventh-grade and above are welcome to attend. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by sending your check to Clear Creek School at 17700 McCourtney Road Grass Valley, CA 95949. Tickets can also be held at Will Call in your name by calling 530-273-3664.
