Award-winning musical takes stage
May 14, 2013
“ I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” the award-winning musical comedy by Joe DiPietro and Jimmy Roberts, has been described as sort of a musical version of the popular TV series “Love American Style.” This Broadway musical comedy takes on the mating game truths and myths known as “The Relationship.” with themes like the first date, “He Called Me,” wedding vows, the parents, the family that drives together, sex and the married couple and senior dating. Patrons will experience hilarious scenes and wonderful upbeat music echoing the styles of several different eras, according to Off Broadstreet.
“I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” pays tribute to those who have loved and lost, to those who have fallen on their face at the portal of romance and to those who have dared to ask, ‘Say, what are you doing Saturday night?’
This production features the talents of OBS regular Jed Dixon, veteran Andrew Kerr and relative newcomers Kate Haight (“Forever Meadow Green”) and Lyra Dominguez (“Knockoffs at the Pina Colada”). Due to some adult language and themes, “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” may not be suitable for all family members.
