Cemetery camping, swinging bats, naked lady running around highlight police blotter

Tuesday

9:50 a.m. — A caller from East Main Street requested a welfare check on a neglected German shepherd puppy locked in a pen without food or water.

10:55 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Park Avenue reported someone siphoned gas out of a school van.

11:28 a.m. — A caller from the 10700 block of Alta Street reported the theft of a purse.

3:17 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Harris Street reported an in-progress burglary of a nearby cabin.

7:18 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported an intoxicated, naked female running around an apartment complex, breaking things.

10:25 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of South School Street reported a handful of juveniles hanging out on the school grounds, smoking marijuana.

10:37 a.m. — A caller from the 10800 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported a man camping in a cemetery.

11:17 a.m. — A caller from the 10600 block of Lowell Hill Road reported a theft.

11:26 a.m. — A caller from the 10700 block of Alta Street reported a theft of a purse.

12:05 p.m. — An employee of a foreclosure company reported a burglary of a foreclosed home on the 11900 block Paradise Lane.

2:31 p.m. — A caller near the intersection of Clover Valley Road and Wolf Creek reported a man stealing soil from the creek bed.

7:18 p.m. — A caller from the 14200 block of Highway 174 reported his former classmates had bugged his trailer. The caller denied being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

8:08 p.m. — A caller near the intersection of Rough and Ready Highway and Stagecoach Way reported a man staggered out of the bushes and stumbled in and out of traffic.

8:18 p.m. — A caller near the intersection of Highway 49 and Lime Kiln Road reported a man, wearing a black hoodie with the hood up and black pants, standing with a baseball bat wrapped in reflective tape. The man reported acts as though he was going to hit cars when they stopped.

1:33 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Sacramento Street reported the theft of a vehicle. A representative of the Nevada City Police Department notified neighboring law enforcement agencies to be on the look out for a stolen vehicle.
