Voodoo Organist set to entertain Saturday

Voodoo Organist set to entertain Saturday

On Saturday night, the Voodoo Organist (Scott Wexton), a solo original rock act, will perform at Cooper’s Ale Works in Nevada City.

His music has been used in various horror movies (“100 Tears,” “Return of the Living Dead”). He has played with Stan Ridgeway and is described as “the guy you’d expect to see grinding his organ in the entryway of Tim Burton’s mansion” and as “a preacher one altar wine away from a padded cell,” according to promoters. There is a $5 cover. Music begins at 9 p.m. Mardi Gras beads and masks welcome.
