Plaza Tire expands to Grass Valley

Plaza Tire and Auto Service will soon be expanding operations to the Grass Valley area.

The auto repair and tire business will soon open a new store, located at the former Grass Valley Big O Tires location at 1571 E. Main St. in Grass Valley.

“We’re excited,” said customer operations director Blake Heauser.

“It’s a good opportunity to allow our employees to grow and have a bigger presence within the community and serve all of our customers more conveniently.”

The new store in Grass Valley is the fourth Plaza Tire location in Nevada County and is scheduled to open this summer.

“We want to renovate it, give it a face-lift and make it new and fresh,” Heauser said. “It’s a good step to invest in the future for our community and business.”

The store stays successful through competitive prices with online markets, Heauser said.

“We are extremely competitive against online distributors and supplies and offer better warranties than stores down in Auburn,” Heauser said.

The Grass Valley store will be operated by approximately seven employees and offers a variety of tires and services.

“Plaza Tire and Auto Service knows that consumers have a choice where they decide to take their vehicle for tires and auto repair,” Heauser said.

“Therefore, we invest in the tools, technology and expertise to provide customers with quality tires and auto repair services ... The Nevada City and Colfax stores will continue to service large trucks and commercial accounts.”

The new Grass Valley store, like the three other locations, will provide the area with complete automotive repair and quality name-brand tires and will employ ASE-certified technicians.

Plaza Tire and Auto Service has been voted by The Union readers, for 14 years as the Best Tire Store and Best Auto Repair facility in Nevada County.

“We feel we can be a viable option for the Nevada County area,” Heauser said. “With automotive repair, full service, anything your car could possibly want.”
