Police blotter: Sinkholes, clogged toilets and loose pigs

Grass Valley Police Department

Sunday

12:24 p.m. — A caller from Colfax Avenue and Henderson Street reported a sinkhole in the road.

12:57 p.m. — A caller from the 900 block of Sutton Way reported a man purposely blocked a toilet with paper towels. He was advised not to return.

5:45 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Marshall Street reported a dog was attacked by another dog.

6:54 p.m. — A caller from Waterfall Lane reported ongoing shooting with a high-powered firearm.

Monday

4:42 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Brunswick Road reported a person sleeping the lobby, who was moved along.

5:14 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported a person broke into the bar.

8:51 a.m. — A caller from the 21000 block of Home Camp Road reported a mailbox had been gone through and items taken.

9:16 a.m. — A caller from Woodbury Drive and Dog Bar Road reported the back of a group mailbox had been ripped off.

10:52 a.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Streeter Road reported community mailboxes had been opened and mail was all over the road.

10:58 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Lakeshore North reported the theft of six solar landscape lights.

1:35 p.m. — A caller from Lakeview Drive reported a 15-year-old boy was out of control, throwing and tearing items.

3:35 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Mustang Valley Place reported an aggressive pig loose on private property. It could not be located. A second call was made at 5:40 p.m.

4:44 p.m. — A caller from Woodhaven Place and Lakeshore North reported a possible sick skunk, which was dispatched.

5:03 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Sun Forest Drive reported a possibly physical fight, with the victim requesting medical treatment. A be-on-the-lookout advisory was issued.

5:07 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Lake Forest Drive reported vandalism.

6:54 p.m. — A man from Red Dog Road reported that after he put a piece of banana on a woman’s face, she attacked him, leaving scratches on his face. He said she was throwing items, one of which hit a child. He was arrested on suspicion of criminal threats and spousal abuse.

7:49 p.m. — A caller from Clover Valley Road reported solar lights had been taken off several properties and broken and strewn all over a field.

9:50 p.m. — A caller from DarkHorse reported hearing two gunshots and seeing a vehicle driving on the golf course.

9:29 a.m. — A woman from the 200 bock of Bridge Street reported vandalism to a windshield wiper.
