Police Blotter: 'Mad at Panda', wild boar in ditch, dynamite in garage

Wednesday — 79 calls for service

8:23 a.m. — A caller from Butler Street reported ongoing speeding with two cats and a dog having been run over.

9:18 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of South Auburn Street reported the theft of cut-up wood.

9:29 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported graffiti on a meter box.

3:47 p.m. — A caller from the 1500 block of East Main Street reported the theft of tires.

5:51 p.m. — A woman from the 300 block of East Main Street reported a juvenile threw a rock and broke a vehicle window.

6:06 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of West Olympia Drive reported being bitten by a German shepherd. She did not need medical attention.

7:14 p.m. — A caller from the 1400 block of Segsworth Way reported music and yelling and possible underage drinking. The people were advised to keep it down, and there was no underage drinking.

9:05 p.m. — A woman from the 400 block of Henderson Street reported someone used a razor blade to break her vehicle window and take a notebook and pack.

9:45 p.m. — A caller from Sutton Way reported a verbal dispute. A man was “mad at Panda” for being closed.

10:05 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of North Church Street reported a drunken man threatening to shoot a barking dog. He could not be located.

10:59 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Glasson Way reported a man trying to break into vehicles, who could not be located.

11:01 p.m. — A caller from the 1300 block of East Main Street reported a man sneaking around a lot. He was advised against prowling.

12:39 a.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported the theft of Christmas cards, fruit and cat food.

9:52 a.m. — A woman from the 17000 block of Duggans Road reported a woman on her property with a stick and a screwdriver, saying she was being surrounded by people with binoculars.

9:57 a.m. — A caller from Squirrel Creek Road reported a 7- or 8-year-old had left school; the juvenile was picked up by a parent.

10:04 a.m. — A caller from Tammy Way reported vandalism to the gold course.

12:24 p.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Perimeter Road reported a wild boar in a ditch with a rope around its neck; it was dispatched.

12:42 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Alta Vista Avenue reported possible vandalism.

12:53 p.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Cedar Ridge Drive reported her ex-husband broke into the residence and damaged the door.

1:16 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Slate Creek Road reported the Placer County bomb squad was en route to get some dynamite that was found in the garage.

2:32 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Lake Wildwood Drive reported a scam requesting money to bail out a grandson in Mexico.

2:33 p.m. — A caller from Sontag Road reported a missing elderly woman. She was found sleeping in a spare room.

3:39 p.m. — A caller from Lake Forest Drive reported possible sex with a minor.

4:13 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Tyler Foote Crossing Road reported an assault. The victim was located at the hospital but did not want to provide details.

5:40 p.m. — A caller from the 25000 block of Table Meadow Road reported a raccoon that needed to be dispatched. It was dead when deputes arrived.

6:36 p.m. — A woman from the 15000 block of Rattlesnake Road reported her neighbor threw rocks at her dogs.

6:53 p.m. — A caller from Boulder Hill Drive reported hearing a young girl screaming. No crime was found to have occurred.

7:47 p.m. — A caller from Indian Springs and Oak Ridge roads reported a person drove by and was firing an automatic weapon randomly out the window.

8:10 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Lime Kiln Road reported a bear in a yard. At 9:01 p.m., a caller from East Lime Kiln Road and Bar Paw Place reported a bear.

2:03 a.m. — A caller from the 26000 block of Highway 49 reported a physical fight between two men with one “messed up pretty bad.” All parties were gone when deputies arrived.

2:33 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of McCourtney Road reported a vehicle rollover with a man fleeing the scene.

4:48 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of East Bennett Road reported hearing a screaming woman, who could not be located.
