Real market value

While Lt. Bill Evans' statements that each marijuana plant yields 1 to 3 pounds is true and that it does sell for $400 dollars an ounce, these statements should not go hand in hand.

Being that marijuana, like tobacco, must be dried before it can be sold, it typically will produce 1.5 to 2 ounces after the curing process that can actually be smoked. This lowers their estimates about 90 percent when one accurately accounts for each plant's marketable value at 1.75 ounces as opposed to 16 ounces (one pound).
