Los Angeles based Luminaries bring a live show reminiscent of the golden era of Hip Hop, fused with a soulful, electro, live band, funk filled experience. As expressed by one of the “Grandfathers” of the genre, and early founder of modern rap, Afrika Bambaataa reminded us the power of “Peace, Unity, Love, and having Fun!” In the same vein, Luminaries create a soundscape of Hip Hop mantras inviting audiences to participate in the connectivity of one another while going ecstatic on the dance floor.
The music of A Hundred Drums, also out of L.A., flows through a range that includes Melodic Bass, Deep Techno, Techno, Atmospheric Dub Step, Psy Trance, Progressive, Deep House, Tribal and Terrakroma. Together; these psychedelic groovy elements infuse her music, joining heart beats with basslines and thundering low frequency rhythms. A Hundred Drums sets are a mystical and symbiotic experience that reflects her heavy love for the deep dark side of the auditory spectrum.
Tahoe based Resonant Sun has been producing music since 1999, when the technology age made music recording accessible to the general public. At this time, he became introduced to the Mayan calendar, which is where he got his name. Activated by the new tools of the millennium, he began his path as a musician. Known to experiment outside of genre, Resonant Sun’s music can best be described by the name of his second album “TribalAstroFunk,” which is a combination of hip-hop, reggae, jazz, and downtempo breakbeats. Alongside the unique groove of the music are fluent lyrics which range in topic from ecological awareness to hemp activism to the nature of time.
Sacred Spaces Village is a diverse international inter-faith visionary community of artists, activists and mystics seeking to improve the collective intelligence of humanity. They provide grounded, heart-centered sacred spaces for individuals to heal, learn/teach, create art, and transform themselves and the world, according to their bio.
