Police blotter: Caller reports “Girl Scout cookie” sign on pot plants

Thursday

9:25 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 400 block of Crown Point Circle reported a theft.

11:11 a.m. — A caller from Maltman and Joerschke drives reported seeing a man assault a woman driving a car. A caller from East Main Street and Hughes Road reported a similar incident, with the man leaving on foot. He was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse.

11:27 a.m. — A caller reported a drug deal involving a person who had a small child with them. No one was located.

12:05 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Dorsey Drive reported tagging with spray paint.

12:56 p.m. — A man from Pleasant and Neal streets reported a man threw something at his vehicle; the man could be heard yelling about speed limits. The two were separated and no damage was found.

1:59 p.m. — A caller from Mulberry and Pampas drives reported the theft of a white Cannondale and a black Gary Fisher bicycle.

3:17 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Henderson Street reported three men on bicycles talking about a drug deal. A man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant.

6:22 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a shoplifter in custody, who was cited.

9:44 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of South Auburn Street reported the theft of a phone; a person was cited.

11:19 p.m. — A woman from the 500 block of Sutton Way reported a man stole medication from her purse.

11:23 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported her vehicle was vandalized. An unknown substance had been poured on it, but no apparent damage was found.

Friday

1:24 a.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Pleasant Street reported a man was hitting her and ran. He was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse.

Thursday

9:11 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Mystery Lane reported people beating something with a bat, possibly a dog. The dog was attacking another dog. The aggressive dog would not release the other dog and people were trying to make it let go. A man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and violating probation. At 2:07 p.m., a caller from Mystery Lane reported a neighbor slashed the tires of all the caller’s vehicles after the dog fight; no charges were desired.

10:36 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Sandpiper Way reported an email scam about a court appearance.

11:27 a.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and La Barr Meadows Road reported a vehicle rollover; the call was transferred to the CHP.

11:36 a.m. — A caller from McCourtney and Metcalf roads reported two large marijuana plants on the side of the road that have a sign attached to them that says “Girl Scout cookies.”

11:58 a.m. — A woman from the 23000 block of La Costa Court reported her vehicle had been broken into.

12:59 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Burma Road reported a scam caller who keeps calling and swearing.

1:44 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Alta Vista Avenue reported the theft of a chainsaw from a garage.

1:52 p.m. — A woman from the 14000 block of Meadow Lane reported a vacant residence had been broken into and most of the appliances had been taken. It was a civil issue.

3:47 p.m. — A caller reported a counterfeit $20.

4:07 p.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of Garesio Ranch Lane reported a very large iguana in her garage.

4:34 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Walker Drive reported a person who had been calling every 30 second for four hours was now outside. The person was gone when a deputy arrived. At 6:33 p.m., the caller reported the suspect is back. A man then called to report a woman assaulted him and then left.

6:16 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Polaris Drive reported a tool shed had been broken into with tools stolen.

8:22 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Burma Road reported hearing five gunshots. It was quiet when a deputy arrived.

9:14 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Quail Post Court reported an argument over a dog, with a gunshot being fired. No crime was found to have occurred.

Friday

2:28 a.m. — A motorcycle was found in the buses near Walker Drive and Alpine Lane, which had been stolen.

4:12 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Nevada Street reported the theft of medications from a residence.
